Muhammad Said Al-Tourahi, born in the city of Kufa in 1954, is an Iraqi researcher, writer, and traveler interested in the general human heritage. He is the owner and editor-in-chief of the Al Mawsem Encyclopedia, which has been issued since 1988, and its volumes have increased to more than 190 issues. Today, its pages exceed more than 100,000 pages, and it is concerned with world cultures and civilizations and the study of their backgrounds and their religious, historical, and social manifestations, past and present.
He established the Department of the Indian Encyclopedia in Mumbai in the early eighties of the twentieth century. In her name, he published tens of books and research papers on the Indian nation and its cultural heritage.
He authored, edited, and published more than 300 books, most of which were printed repeatedly. In addition, a large number of articles are published in newspapers and magazines.
